MiME integrates an electroencephalography (EEG) headset into entertainment and gaming products. Users directly interact with games by actively controlling their concentration and/or meditative levels. For example; imagine two players sitting on either side of a table with a ball in the middle. A mental tug of war occurs as players battle to push the ball back and forth across the table by focusing their concentration. MiME aims to bridge the gap between the mental and physical to introduce a new generation of hyper-immersive gaming. MiME’s hardware and software combination provide a low cost, low specificity application that can be licensed to OEMS, toy manufacturers, and gaming developers. MiME’s team is composed of five Brown University graduates with biological sciences, computer science and business development experience. They have partnerships with RISD industrial design students and biomedical and electrical engineers from Cornell and Olin Universities.
