Harris Road opened its doors on August 4, 2002, with 780 students, 56 certified staff members, and 35 support staff. The Patriot was chosen as the mascot, and teams, hallways, and colors were all given a patriot theme.
The school hopes to start a Personal Finance Literacy Library consisting of mini-library of books that teens can relate to that deal with personal finance. The set of books would be required reading at least one day a week in personal finance classrooms.
