EIT Urban Mobility

EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, established in January 2019 to enhance urban mobility across Europe. Its mission is to improve the collective use of urban spaces, making them more accessible, safe, efficient, and sustainable. By integrating various urban mobility stakeholders, including cities and citizens, EIT Urban Mobility aims to overcome fragmentation and promote social inclusion and equality. The initiative focuses on reimagining both collective and individual mobility solutions tailored to local needs, thereby supporting communities and stimulating economic growth. With co-funding of up to €400 million from the European Union planned for 2020 to 2026, EIT Urban Mobility seeks to lead transformative changes in how people navigate urban environments, ultimately contributing to the creation of more livable cities.
