Southeast TechInventures, Inc. incubator firm that typically works with university-based inventors to accelerate the commercialization of technologies and intellectual property (IP) in the areas of, medical devices, diagnostics, nanotechnology, electronics, agriculture, bioengineering; photonics and communications; information technology; materials science; and surveillance and security networks. It helps in establishing the entity as a spin-off company. The firm takes an equity and/or royalty stake in the company. At the present time, it is not involved in the commercialization of drug development or websites. Southeast TechInventures, Inc. was co-founded by Ms. Karen LeVert and Dr. Kristina M. Johnson in January, 2003 and is based in Morrisville, North Carolina.
