Lyse is a Norwegian industrial group specializing in renewable energy and fiber-based broadband services. Established on January 1, 1999, but with a history spanning over 100 years, the company is owned by 16 municipalities in Sør-Rogaland. Its origins include the acquisition of waterfall rights and the construction of a hydroelectric power plant, which laid the groundwork for regional development. Today, Lyse is a leading national operator in renewable energy, providing hydroelectric power and managing electricity grids. Additionally, the company has emerged as a prominent provider of fiber-optic broadband services, ensuring reliable telecommunications for both residential and commercial customers. In recent years, Lyse has also expanded its operations to include a gas network in Sør-Rogaland and an LNG business catering to the Nordic market.
