In June 2012, the Company purchased 1300 Admiral Wilson Boulevard in Camden. On August 6, 2012, the Company completed the acquisition of BF Bolthouse Holdco LLC (Bolthouse Farms). In partnership with their neighbors, CFET strives to sponsor local solutions to environmental challenges. By welcoming others into this neighborhood, they hope to make Waterfront South a “seed bed” for the work of transformation that the current situation of the environment, all over the globe, demands. Currently, 14 million kids play GoNoodle each month. GoNoodle gets kids moving to be their smartest, strongest, bravest, silliest, bestest selves. Short, interactive movement videos make it simple and fun to incorporate movement into every part of the day with dancing, stretching, running and even mindfulness activities. At school, teachers use GoNoodle to keep students energized, engaged, and active inside the classroom. At home, GoNoodle turns screen time into active time, so families can have fun and get moving together. GoNoodle launched in 2013.
The knowledge and skills required to succeed in our global society continue to evolve, and so do the needs of our education system. Public funding alone is not sufficient to provide their students and teachers the opportunities they need and deserve. It takes the support of their entire community. Communities In Schools is the nation’s largest and most effective dropout prevention organization, serving over 1.5 million students in 26 states. Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. CIS of Robeson County was established in 1992 as part of a countywide economic development initiative to address the high dropout rate in Robeson County. We help students overcome barriers to learning using our unique CIS Model. This model means we place a Student Support Specialist in the schools we serve to provide supports that meet school-wide and student goals. By bringing caring adults into the schools to address children’s unmet needs, CIS provides the link between educators and the community. The result: teachers are free to teach, and students – many in jeopardy of dropping out – have the opportunity to focus on learning. We currently offer several different programs in 18 schools across the county, serving almost 5,000 students.
