Attica Ventures
Attica Ventures, established in September 2003 and based in Athens, Greece, is the venture capital arm of Attica Bank. It specializes in investing in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across various sectors, including telecommunications, information technology, energy, biotechnology, and new materials. The firm focuses on start-up, early-stage, expansion, and later-stage investments, primarily through its Zaitech Fund. Attica Ventures aims to support companies that leverage technology, innovation, and scientific research for competitive advantage. It typically invests between €1 million and €4.5 million in total per financing round, preferring minority stakes of 10 to 49 percent. The firm is open to co-investing with other funds or private investors and seeks to exit investments within three to five years through various means, such as IPOs or trade sales. However, it does not invest in publicly traded companies or certain industries, including shipbuilding, coal and steel, real estate, and gambling.
