Attica Ventures, established in September 2003 and based in Athens, Greece, is the venture capital arm of Attica Bank. It specializes in investing in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across various sectors, including telecommunications, information technology, energy, biotechnology, and new materials. The firm focuses on start-up, early-stage, expansion, and later-stage investments, primarily through its Zaitech Fund. Attica Ventures aims to support companies that leverage technology, innovation, and scientific research for competitive advantage. It typically invests between €1 million and €4.5 million in total per financing round, preferring minority stakes of 10 to 49 percent. The firm is open to co-investing with other funds or private investors and seeks to exit investments within three to five years through various means, such as IPOs or trade sales.
