Koret Foundation
The Koret Foundation, established in 1978 by Jewish immigrants Stephanie and Joseph Koret, is a non-profit organization based in San Francisco, California. Under the leadership of president Michael J. Boskin and a dedicated Board of Directors, the Foundation aims to strengthen the Bay Area community and support the continuity of Jewish life globally. Its grantmaking initiatives focus on four primary areas: Higher Education, K-12 Education, Arts, and Culture Special Projects, all designed to enhance the vibrancy of the Bay Area. Additionally, the Foundation promotes Jewish Peoplehood, U.S.-Israel relations, and the support of Jewish institutions, with the goal of increasing Jewish engagement and combating anti-Semitism. Since its inception, the Koret Foundation has invested nearly $500 million to improve civic and Jewish community life, undertaking recent initiatives that include global humanitarian aid, collaboration between Bay Area and Israeli universities, and innovative programs aimed at educational success. The Foundation remains committed to serving as a catalyst for social change by fostering collaboration among individuals and organizations.
