Almanac Realty Investors, established in 1981 and based in New York, is a real estate investment advisor that specializes in providing growth capital to private and public companies operating in the North American real estate sector. The firm focuses on making private placements, typically structured as convertible preferred or convertible debt securities and common equity. Over its history, Almanac has committed more than $5 billion across 42 companies. In February 2020, Almanac was acquired by Neuberger Berman, enhancing its assets under management by $4 billion and allowing it to expand into direct private real estate. Despite the acquisition, Almanac retains its leadership team and maintains investment independence within Neuberger Berman's alternatives division. The firm targets a variety of real estate asset classes, including senior housing, multi-family, office, retail, and industrial sectors, through various investment funds.
