Emirates Investment Authority
The Emirates Investment Authority (EIA) is the federal sovereign wealth fund of the United Arab Emirates, established in November 2007 and headquartered in Abu Dhabi. It manages the government's stakes in over 30 significant firms, including those in the telecommunications and shipping sectors. The fund focuses on investments across various sectors such as financial services, prepared and preserved food, and educational services. EIA aims to invest in both public and private markets, targeting opportunities within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region as well as internationally. It serves all seven emirates of the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah, among others.
