ECS - Sociedade de Capital de Risco, SA. is a private equity firm specializing in expansion capital, mature, management buy-in, management buy-out, middle market, and restructuring investments. It primarily invests in Portugal but it will also consider investing in Spain. The firm will mainly target majority stakes and operates across all sectors apart from financial services and real estate, provided these are not in an early phase of development. It will seek to invest approximately €5 million ($7.29 million) to €20 million ($29.16 million) per transaction, although it is able to increase the equity investment through co-investing with third parties. While the firm does not seek to become involved in the daily operations of its portfolio companies, it will play a very active role in overseeing its investments.
