Doccla is a provider of virtual ward services that focuses on transitioning patient care from hospitals to home environments. The company partners with healthcare organizations to facilitate early hospital discharges and reduce the likelihood of readmissions by remotely monitoring patients with advanced medical devices. This approach includes onboarding patients at home with necessary monitoring equipment, supported by a mobile team of healthcare professionals who oversee the patient's condition. Once the patient is deemed well enough, the offboarding process commences. Doccla's services were initially developed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, stemming from a collaborative research project with the NHS and Northampton General Hospital, where they are currently operational.
