SalusInvest LP is a venture capital firm. The firm does not invest in drug delivery, gene therapy, pharmaceuticals, OTC medicines or vaccines and always takes a senior board position in each of its portfolio company investments. It primarily invests in companies operating in medical, medical technology, and biomedical science sectors. The firm seeks to invest in companies based in the UK. It prefers to invest in those companies whose majority of potential revenues are mainly from outside the UK, mainly from North America and from Europe, and is of a recurring nature arising either from the use of services, single use devices or single use consumables or from a business model which generates revenues on a fee per use basis without the need for sales of capital equipment. It invests in technology that is protected by patent or by confidential, proprietary software or algorithms. The firm typically invests in the companies where the senior management team includes at least one executive who is experienced in the markets addressed by the Company and where others in the team are industry relevant with technology, management or sales experience, and the portfolio company board is in place and has one or more industry relevant non executive directors and a chairman with experience of managing multinational, multi site business groups in the medical technology industry in Europe and North America and of leading successful trade exits. The firm prefers to exit from successful investments within a 5 to 8 years period from the initial investment. SalusInvest LP was founded in 2003 and is based in Buckingham, United Kingdom.
