Orca Energy Group

Orca Energy Group Inc. operates the Songo Songo natural gas field in Tanzania, managing a production sharing agreement with the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation. The field holds approximately 879 billion cubic feet of natural gas, with 195 billion cubic feet designated for Songas Limited and 684 billion cubic feet produced and marketed by Orca. The company oversees a gas processing facility on Songo Songo Island, which processes gas for transport via a 25 km marine pipeline and a 207 km land pipeline to Dar es Salaam. Orca supplies natural gas to the power and industrial sectors, including significant clients such as TPDC and TANESCO, and has also established an industrial gas market in the Dar es Salaam region. This venture marks Tanzania's first development of natural gas resources.
