SHIFT I

SHIFT Invest is an open-innovation investment platform based in the Netherlands, focused on supporting companies that aim to achieve sustainability and health impacts through transitions in food and agriculture. Established in 2014, it combines venture capital with expertise and a wide-ranging network from partners such as Menzis, Rabobank, TU Delft, Wageningen University of Research, and WWF. SHIFT I, co-managed by Dutch Greentech Fund BV and NBI Investors, operates as a venture capital fund targeting investments in sectors like agriculture, clean technology, health, and sustainable mobility. The fund typically invests between EUR 0.5 million and EUR 2.5 million in 15 to 25 companies, emphasizing impact investments related to infrastructure, land, and agriculture. As an Article 9 fund under the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), it is dedicated to generating positive environmental and social outcomes.

When bacteria are growing they release metabolites and toxins that stimulate the defence mechanisms in the cow. The inflammation response leads to a migration of white blood cells from the peripheral blood circulation into the udder. The somatic cell count of the milk (SCC) increases from normally 100 000 cells/ml or less to as high as several million.

Squall

Squall is a revolutionary new additive that fills two gaping technical holes in the market of existing additives. Conventional additives are mainly surfactant based; this makes the spray deposition more efficient, but has a negative impact on the environment. Most additives have a negative impact on both spray drift and rain fastness. Squall changes the manner in which the spray solution flows. It improves spray deposition compared to surfactant-based additives and at the same time decreases spray drift ánd improves rain fastness. Moreover, Squall is readily biodegradable and easy to implement in pesticide formulations.
