Seed Round in 2014
Buildit is an accelerator based in Riga, Latvia, established in 2014, and is the first of its kind in the Baltic States and Nordic countries, focusing specifically on physical devices and the Internet of Things (IoT). The organization offers a comprehensive four-month program that includes intensive mentoring, product and business development support, and an extended individual mentoring program lasting up to two years. Each startup receives a pre-seed investment ranging from 20,000 to 50,000 EUR, with the potential for follow-on seed investments up to 250,000 EUR. Additionally, Buildit provides free office space in central Riga during the acceleration period, along with access to discounted services from various partners, covering areas such as server space, design, marketing, and legal support. The accelerator is backed by the Altum Accelerator program, which is funded by the European Regional Fund, reinforcing its commitment to fostering innovation in hardware and technology sectors such as mobility, productivity, smart living, energy, and health tech.
