UC San Diego Foundation

UC San Diego Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in 1972 to secure private support for the University of California, San Diego. It assists the university in obtaining private gifts for research, teaching, and public service and manages the assets associated with those gifts, directing funds as endowments or for current expenditures. The foundation is governed by a 43-member board of trustees drawn from community leaders, university administrators, faculty, and alumni, with quarterly meetings and standing committees that review activities and advise on decisions.

Science gateways are online interfaces that give researchers, educators, and students easy access to specialized, shared resources that are specific to a science or engineering discipline.
