Panoratio

Panoratio, established in March 2003 in Munich, Germany, originated from research conducted at the Siemens AG Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Laboratory, aimed at optimizing gas turbine engine performance in power plants. The challenge of analyzing complex datasets generated by sensors led to the development of a software solution that effectively compresses data while retaining its granularity. This innovation prompted Siemens AG to spin off Panoratio as an independent entity. The company has since created PANOsight, a software suite that leverages patented compression technology. Panoratio serves over 50 customers, including notable organizations such as AOK, AOL, Macy's, and Vodafone. By providing big data analytics applications, Panoratio enables businesses to conduct investigative and predictive analysis of large, heterogeneous data sets, facilitating the development of simulation platforms that help clients detect change indicators, optimize business models, and manage transformations proactively.
