Code First Girls is a social enterprise dedicated to increasing the representation of women in the technology sector. It offers both free and paid coding courses, training events, and advisory services for companies seeking to enhance their tech talent diversity. Over the past four years, Code First Girls has provided over £5 million worth of free tech education, teaching more than 8,000 women how to code. The organization is the largest provider of in-person coding courses for women in the UK and aims to teach 20,000 young women to code for free as part of a flagship campaign. In addition to its educational initiatives, Code First Girls collaborates with renowned companies to improve employability and social mobility for women in tech. Their alumnae have secured positions at prominent organizations, including Facebook, Twitter, and NASA, demonstrating the impact of their programs on both individual careers and the broader tech industry.
