The site was launched by Mark Pearson, who has since gone on to create Groupola.com, the largest deal-a-day group buying website in the UK and MyVoucherCodes Local; a service that hopes to prevent the gap from widening between local businesses and larger chains. In 2009, MyVoucherCodes.co.uk saved consumers £52m and drove more than £480m worth of sales for thousands of partners.
