It is typically involved in growth capital transactions, recapitalization, and leveraged buyouts. The firm takes a majority or significant minority position and typically holds an investment for three to five years. In co-investments, it seeks to investment in mature companies in their later stage of development. In fund of funds investments, the firm has two strategies- the next generation strategy, where it prefers first-time, small cap, and spin-out funds and the opportunity strategy, where the firm investments are focused on top-tier fund sponsors. The average age of the funds in which the firm acquires stakes is 8.3 years. Landmark Partners, Inc. was founded in 1989 and is based in Simsbury, Connecticut and has additional offices in Boston, Massachusetts, New York, New York, and London, United Kingdom.
