TISSIUM

Venture Round in 2021
TISSIUM is a privately owned medical device company based in Paris, France that is dedicated to the rapid development and the commercialization of revolutionary biodegradable sealants and adhesives for wound closure in the field of surgery, with a key focus on minimally invasive surgery. TISSIUM is developing products that are non-toxic, bind strongly to tissues and deliver ‘on-demand’ wound closure within the ‘wet’ and dynamic environments in the body. The Company’s technology and products are based on world-class research and intellectual property from the laboratories of Robert Langer (MIT) and Jeff Karp (Brigham & Women’s Hospital). Gecko was founded in 2013 and is backed by leading healthcare investors Omnes Capital, CM-CIC and CapDecisif Manangement.

GrAI Matter Labs

Venture Round in 2020
GrAI Matter Labs utilizes biology-inspired spiking neural networks to overcome the limitations of traditional Von Neumann machines and application processors. Their massively parallel, fully programmable compute technology enables multi-modal sensor analytics and dynamic machine learning at low power levels not feasible before. Combining next generation neuromorphic compute with cutting edge silicon technologies brings AI to every edge device across the Internet of Things without the need for cloud computing support.

Chronolife

Seed Round in 2019
Chronolife is focused on developing an innovative solution for the continuous monitoring of multiple physiological parameters, utilizing big data analysis for real-time predictions. The company's proprietary algorithm, known as HOTS (Hierarchy of Event Based Time Surfaces), aims to transform the management of chronic conditions. Initially, Chronolife is concentrating on two significant health issues—Heart Failure and Epilepsy—that impact a large number of patients globally. By leveraging artificial intelligence and advanced data fusion techniques, Chronolife's technology seeks to enhance remote monitoring capabilities and improve healthcare diagnostics, ultimately aiding in patient diagnosis and management.

GrAI Matter Labs

Series A in 2018
GrAI Matter Labs utilizes biology-inspired spiking neural networks to overcome the limitations of traditional Von Neumann machines and application processors.

BrainEver

Venture Round in 2018
BrainEver’s innovative therapeutic strategy is a translation of the work by Alain Prochiantz and colleagues on brain development and physiology. They demonstrated that homeoproteins, first identified as early developmental regulators, are also active throughout life and control several neuronal functions, including metabolism and epigenetic stability. BrainEver makes the hypothesis that, in patients, homeoprotein administration could durably modify the physiological resistance of surviving neurons while increasing their activity, thus leading to the improvement of clinical symptoms. Different homeoproteins that could be important in different neurodegenerative pathologies are being explored, the most advanced being Engrailed 1 (BREN01) for the treatment of Parkinson Disease and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Beside Engrailed 1 in Parkinson Disease and ALS, BrainEver is currently generating a pipeline of 4 drug candidates targeting other neurodegenerative disease like Huntington Disease and Optic Neuropathies.
