Korea Teachers Pension
The Korea Teachers Pension (KTP) is a government-owned public pension fund established in 1974, aimed at providing retirement and death benefits to teachers and staff in private educational institutions, including schools and universities across South Korea. Based in Naju-si, KTP manages pension funds for its clients, thereby enhancing the financial security and welfare of educators. The fund's investment portfolio is diversified, with allocations including domestic and overseas bonds, equities, and alternatives, as well as cash equivalents. KTP has also increased its exposure to international markets and focuses on private equity, real estate, and infrastructure investments. The fund was created to alleviate financial responsibilities from educators, allowing them to concentrate on their teaching roles while ensuring stable economic support for their beneficiaries.
