DCP Midstream, LP is a leading midstream energy company in the United States, specializing in the ownership, operation, acquisition, and development of a comprehensive portfolio of energy assets. The company operates primarily through two segments: Logistics and Marketing, and Gathering and Processing. The Logistics and Marketing segment focuses on the transportation, trading, marketing, and storage of natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs), while also fractionating NGLs. The Gathering and Processing segment is dedicated to gathering, compressing, treating, and processing natural gas, as well as producing and fractionating NGLs and recovering condensate. DCP Midstream owns and operates approximately 44 natural gas processing plants and 51,000 miles of gathering and transmission systems, accounting for about 12% of the nation's gas supply. The company serves a diverse client base, including petrochemical and refining companies, and retail propane distributors. Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, DCP Midstream was founded in 2005 and was previously known as DCP Midstream Partners, LP until its name change in January 2017.
