BioEnterprise
BioEnterprise is a business formation and acceleration initiative based in Cleveland, Ohio, focused on fostering the growth of healthcare companies and commercializing bioscience technologies. Established in 2002, it collaborates with prominent partners, including Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, Case Western Reserve University, Summa Health System, and the BioInnovation Institute in Akron. The initiative also engages with additional technology partners such as the NASA Glenn Research Center and Cleveland State University. BioEnterprise supports emerging medical device, biotechnology, and healthcare services firms by directing resources and networks from its partners to select companies each year, aiming to enhance their business success. Although it operated as a not-for-profit venture capital firm until April 2023, BioEnterprise continues to play a vital role in the commercialization efforts of its partners' technology transfer offices.
