The C4 Processing segment focuses on converting C4 hydrocarbons into key products such as butadiene, which is mainly used in synthetic rubber production, and butene-1, utilized in creating plastic resins. This segment also produces raffinates for alkylate manufacturing and methyl tertiary butyl ether for gasoline blending. The Performance Products segment offers high-purity isobutylene, which serves various applications including synthetic rubber and lubricant additives, along with conventional and highly reactive polyisobutylenes used in fuel additives and sealants. Additionally, the company produces diisobutylene, nonene, and tetramer for surfactants and plasticizers. TPC Group, originally known as Texas Petrochemicals Inc., was founded in 1943 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas. The company also provides infrastructure and logistics services along the Gulf Coast.
