Wisconsin Economic Development

Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), based in Madison, is an economic development agency dedicated to fostering business growth and job creation throughout the state. Established in 2011, WEDC collaborates with over 600 statewide partners, including regional economic development organizations, academic institutions, and industry groups, to enhance communities and support business development. The organization offers a range of resources, technical support, and financial assistance aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship, advancing industry innovation, and facilitating access to global markets. Additionally, WEDC focuses on developing a skilled workforce and provides debt funding to startup and early-stage companies, all in an effort to strengthen Wisconsin's economy.
