GS EPS Co., Ltd. operates as an independent power producer in South Korea. The company generates and provides electricity using clean fuels, such as natural gas and bio energy. It operates a LNG fired combined cycle power plant with a total capacity of 2,406 megawatt (MW) located in Dangjin, Chungnam Province; biomass power plant with a total capacity of 105 MW that is situated in Shandong, China; and fuel cell power plant with a total capacity of 2.4MW. The company also operates wind power plant with a total capacity of 30MW in Gimnyeong, the Jeju Island. The company was formerly known as LG Energy Co., Ltd. and changed its name to GS EPS Co., Ltd. in December 2005. The company was founded in 1996 and is based in Dangjin, South Korea. GS EPS Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of GS Holdings Corp.
