Soundrop
Soundrop is a social music application that allows Spotify users to create interactive listening rooms with their playlists, fostering community engagement around music. Users can invite friends to join these rooms, where they can collaboratively curate the playlist by adding songs and voting on tracks. The application also features public rooms dedicated to various music genres, such as Dubstep, Indie Rock, and Hip Hop, where users can chat and engage in discussions about the music while listening. Founded in 2011 by Inge Andrè Sandvik, Johann Prieur, Ali Sabil, and Ole Andrè Vadla Ravnås, Soundrop initially launched as a social jukebox app within Spotify’s App Finder, emphasizing its focus on shared music experiences.
