Koret Foundation

The Koret Foundation is an independent non-profit organization based in San Francisco, California, established in 1979. Dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the Bay Area and supporting the global Jewish community, the foundation operates under Jewish values and focuses on various initiatives. Its efforts include expanding educational opportunities for students, providing services for veterans, offering food assistance to vulnerable populations, and supporting Jewish communal organizations and cultural programming. Additionally, Koret plays a significant role in community-building and leadership within the Bay Area, particularly in the Jewish community. The foundation has a professional staff that manages its grant-making activities, having allocated over $700 million to various causes since its inception. Koret Foundation is led by Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Farber and Co-Presidents Michael Boskin and Anita Friedman, alongside a four-member board.
