Formarum

Seed Round in 2017
Formarum is a Canadian corporation which has developed an automatic and all-in-one sanitization device called Dive which enables consumers to use and manage their recreational waters safely while reducing the cost, and hassles of chemical applications. The Chlorine consumption will be reduced to the minimum government-regulated requirement, which is up to 90% less than average consumption. This system will save consumers maintenance time and the downtime often required after chemical adjustments. Financially, consumers will be saving significantly on their chemical expenses and operational costs. Dive will also generate its own power internally, and therefore eliminates the need of an external power supply.

Vader Systems

Seed Round in 2017
Vader Systems is bringing to market the world's 1st commercial liquid metal 3D printer. It will open the door for new possibilities in metal manufacturing by providing a faster, lower-cost to operate technology. Vader’s patent-pending MagnetoJet technology is based on the study of Magneto Hydro Dynamics (MHD), or more simply: the manipulation of liquid metal through magnetism. MagnetoJet’s extraordinary physics are accomplished by depositing Aluminum wire into an 800°C ceramic chamber, where it is influenced by a molten state. This molten media is then electromagnetically pulsed – causing a droplet to form and eject with precision from a carefully crafted ceramic nozzle. The Mk 1 delivers 1000 droplets per second with micron-level accuracy while doubling the speed of conventional 3D powder bed metal printers. Aluminum was an intentional first step, but MagnetoJet will evolve to printing additional conductive metals and potentially thousands of printing heads within one machine. The Mk2 – expected in 2018 – will contain 10 printing heads and produce parts 30x faster than the Mk1. Metallic design and manufacturing evolution will be exponentially impacted across all industries.

Alation

Series A in 2015
Alation is incorporated in enterprise data intelligence solutions including data search & discovery, data governance, data stewardship, analytics, and digital transformation. Alation’s initial offering dominates the data catalog market. Thanks to its powerful Behavioral Analysis Engine, inbuilt collaboration capabilities, and open interfaces, Alation combines machine learning with human insight to successfully tackle even the most demanding challenges in data and metadata management. Alation was established on December 12, 2012 by Aaron Kalb, Satyen Sangani, Venky Ganti, and Feng Niu in Redwood City, California.
