swap-studio is an exclusive online community where reuse is a lifestyle choice. It is changing the face of the resale industry with a resurgence of the barter system, but without the need to give-and-take from the same person. Members swap things they no longer want using a community currency called ‘kudos’. Current collections include fashion, living and kids products. All products are curated in-house for quality and individuality. Via a Zero Waste Partnership Program, swap-studio also partners with selected retail brands to to offer a sustainable liquidation strategy for overstock and showcase their commitment to a circular economy. Membership to swap-studio via a monthly subscription which allows members to accumulate kudos and swap an unlimited number of items. There is no money exchanged between parties to a swap, only Kudos. Currently only available in the Netherlands with a staged global rollout planned for 2022.
