1848 Capital Partners
1848 Capital Partners, founded in 2003 and based in Miami, Florida, is a private equity firm specializing in investments in the business and consumer products and services sectors. The firm gained prominence through its formation of Heartland Food Corp., which acquired 248 Burger King restaurants from bankruptcy situations and eventually became the second largest franchisee in the system before its sale in 2006. Following this success, 1848 launched Big Apple Entertainment Partners LLC, which operates the Ripley's Believe It or Not! attraction in Times Square, along with expanding its portfolio to include multiple companies, such as Sunbelt Diversified Enterprises and Jet Support Services, Inc. Recently, 1848 has entered the Latin American infrastructure market with a control investment in Brazil Tower Company, LP, aimed at developing communications sites in Brazil. Since its inception, the firm has managed over $250 million in capital and plans to invest more than $150 million in Brazil Tower Company and other ventures in the coming years.
