iMinds

iMinds was a prominent digital research center and business incubator established by the Flemish government in 2004. It focused on fostering digital innovation across six key markets: ICT, Media, Health, Energy, Smart Cities, and Manufacturing. Leveraging the expertise of over 850 researchers from five Flemish universities, iMinds aimed to translate digital knowledge into practical products and services that positively impacted people's lives. It emphasized an agile and open research mindset, employing proven methodologies to guide the development of new ideas. Additionally, iMinds supported researchers, young entrepreneurs, and startups in successfully bringing their innovations to market. In 2016, iMinds was officially integrated into Imec, continuing its mission under the new name.
