Marshall University

Marshall University, located in Huntington, West Virginia, is a public research institution established in 1947. It offers over 40 undergraduate and graduate programs across eight colleges, including Fine Arts, Science, Business, Education and Human Services, and Medicine, along with specialized schools for Journalism, Engineering, and Health Professions. Notably, its graduate program in Forensic Science is among the few in the nation, and its Business programs have received national recognition. As a research-focused university, Marshall promotes student engagement in both undergraduate and graduate research through its advanced facilities. The university also provides a variety of extracurricular activities, including an internationally touring jazz ensemble, a professional artists series, and various athletic and recreational organizations. Additional services available to students include a 24-hour police escort service, tutoring, career counseling, and financial aid. While Marshall is primarily a residential university with on-campus housing, it also offers non-residential campus centers, primarily aimed at graduate study. The Marshall University Foundation, a non-profit entity, supports the university by providing financial assistance and professional services to students and donors.
