Alliance Venture is a venture capital and private equity firm specializing in seed, start up, early stage, and bridge investments. The firm seeks to invest in privately held technology companies that focus on the convergence of information communication technology, micro-technology, material technology, and biotechnology. It also seeks to invest in media, telecommunications, and information and communication technology in oil and energy. The firm invests in Scandinavia, Norway, United States, Latin America and Caribbean, Iceland, Finland, Denmark, Asia and Africa. The firm prefers to invest between $0.2 million and $1.7 million in its portfolio companies. It prefers a lead role and a board seat for its investments in Norwegian companies and does not insist on board representation for its investments made internationally and other Scandinavian countries, where it is not a lead investor. The firm also makes co-investments. The firm typically exits its investments via an IPO or through a trade sale of the entire company.
