Food for Health

Seed Round in 2023
Just like Uber transformed travel by triumphing over taxis, we are revolutionizing food decisions by providing simple, speedy, science-backed certainty about every product. 52% of grocery shoppers read labels trying to discern whether foods are good or bad, with under 1% comprehension. Our patented personalized, precision, food-as-medicine recommendation engine uses peer-reviewed, third-party, clinical evidence to calculate cumulative efficacy across hundreds of health conditions, wellness goals, allergies, diets, cultures, sports, tastebud profile, and personal preferences, finding food you’ll love and inspiring desirable behavioral changes. We are invaluable to grocers, physicians, and insurers to increase revenues, loyalty, and insights while advancing humanity. The colossal problem before us is chronic disease caused by consuming the wrong foods across all socio-economic strata. 60% of Americans have one or more chronic diseases; 94 million are pre-diabetic and WILL become diabetic without intervention. The economic burden upon society is >$3.1T yearly. Consumer Problems: 1) lack of comprehension of food labels; 2) lack of knowledge about food and ingredient efficacy; 3) confusion caused by conflicting product claims, marketing misdirection, and unqualified “experts”; 4) time spent to read labels; 5) fact verification; and 6) multiple factors in opposition to required behavior modification. Industry Problems 1) Physicians lack nutritional and dietary knowledge and training; 2) Providers need improved outcomes, reduced costs 3) Insurers need to recurrences, care and Rx costs; 4) Grocers need higher sales, better margins (through increased private label sales), improved loyalty and consumer insights to offset inflation and tariffs; 5) Employers need greater performance, cognition, and moral from employees to give better benefits, more time off and fewer sick days. We provide a solution to all of these challenges by addressing foundational problems at their roots and inspiring a fundamental change from treatment to prevention. It is a colossal goal that will take years or decades to achieve and starts with the shift in mindfulness that began slowly in response to fear from 9/11, accelerated dramatically by Covid-19, landing on center stage with Trump/Kennedy. The evidence is clear: the 52% of shoppers reading labels do so for the explicit reason of gaining knowledge to make informed decisions. Type II Diabetes is 100% caused by consumer the wrong food. The natural products industry is reaching record numbers in brands, volume and revenues; Cargill, the world leader in food, has altered it’s 50 year objective from “feeding the world” to “Nurturing the World”; Pharmaceutical companies creating wonder drugs like Ozempic deliver the clear message that nutrition is a necessity for outcomes to occur; and organizations like the FDA and AURI focus on creating sustainable solutions for farming that enhances soil nutrients, land usage and farm profitability. Food for Health is an imperative Impact Venture to bolsters humanity from its roots. There are dozens of ways we will measure this from individual, group, local and national metrics that the industries involved require in response to the problems stated above. Impact is first measured with the individual and the profound impact that the reversal of a pre-diabetic diagnosis has or, in the case of our founder, Adam Southam, being able to treat his hyperlipidemia, brining markers from 1830 to under 200 using food alone. Insurance companies will pay increasingly for preventative measures as they prove profitability and food manufacturers are already altering formulations in favor of better health outcomes in response to pressures from “We The People” Our target market today is the 71M people already sold and seeking an understanding of the foods they eat who are NOT being served. Ours is the only patented program built upon clinical facts in a time when societal trust in truth is greatly endangered. This approach aligns with health trends, MAHA, and diet-disease remedies. The Digital Health SaaS delivers substantial multiples, valuations, and significant health impact by simplifying complex calculations with speed, science, and clarity. Consumers, grocers, payers, providers, and employers achieve considerable benefits. This solution is patented recession-resilient, and a social impact imperative with worldwide scalability and multiple exit verticals.
