By 2018, it had financed over 7 million customers and built substantial loan assets primarily in the consumer and MSME sectors. The firm maintained a strong asset quality, with low non-performing asset ratios, and held a top-tier long-term credit rating. In December 2018, Capital First merged with IDFC Bank, forming IDFC First Bank, thereby expanding its reach and capabilities in the financial sector.
