Mosaic is a leading global producer and marketer of concentrated phosphate and potash, essential nutrients for agriculture. Established in 2004 through the merger of IMC Global and Cargill's fertilizer operations, the company operates phosphate rock mines in Florida, Brazil, and Peru, as well as potash mines in Saskatchewan, New Mexico, and Brazil. Mosaic manages a significant fertilizer distribution network in Brazil, bolstered by its acquisition of Mosiac Fertilizantes from Vale in 2018. The company serves a diverse customer base, including wholesalers, retail dealers, and individual growers, across more than 40 countries, engaging in all phases of crop nutrition from resource mining to the production of fertilizers and industrial products.

The company also supplies basic and intermediary raw materials to various sectors, including mining, water treatment, automotive, and civil construction. Vale Fertilizantes transitioned to become a subsidiary of The Mosaic Company in 2018, further enhancing its capacity to meet the needs of agricultural and industrial markets.
