ID Ventures is a venture capital arm of Intellectual Discovery Co.,Ltd. The firm specializes in investments in intellectual properties. It invests in the following through its funds: technology development project, transfer of technology, or small and medium sized venture companies that are engaged in research and development, commercializing their business based on intellectual properties; tech-based companies at emerging growth stage, with high technology and intellectual property value; in small and medium sized venture companies operating in marine biotechnology and bio-energy, aquaculture, high value-added new material, and fisheries cleaning industries; in venture companies that are engaged in developing intellectual properties or in commercialization technology of intellectual properties owned by universities; in transfer of technology projects, companies operating in the intellectual property services industry, and in projects related to creation, purchase, and utilization of intellectual property; and in small and medium sized tech-based venture companies or projects with intellectual properties, and got grade B or higher by System to Measure, Analyze, and Rate Patent Technology or got valuated by South Korean government-designated institutions for evaluation of inventions. ID Ventures was founded in 2012 and is based in Seoul, South Korea.
