Anschutz Family Foundation
The Anschutz Family Foundation, established in 1982 by Fred and Marian Pfister Anschutz, is an independent family foundation based in Denver, Colorado. It was founded on the principles of hard work, community involvement, and a commitment to enhancing the lives of others. The Foundation focuses on grantmaking to support nonprofit organizations that address human and community needs, particularly in areas such as community building, economic development, crisis intervention, services for disabled individuals, shelter for the homeless, low-income housing, literacy, senior programs, youth development, and children's services. Over the years, the Foundation's assets have grown significantly, allowing for the distribution of numerous grants aimed at fostering diversified funding streams for nonprofits. Notably, the Foundation has organized initiatives like Colorado Rural Philanthropy Days, which facilitate collaboration between funders and rural communities, thereby increasing awareness and support for the unique challenges these areas face. The Anschutz Family Foundation continues to prioritize efforts that strengthen families and communities while empowering individuals to achieve self-sufficiency.
