Founded in 1984, Papa John's is a global pizza delivery and carryout restaurant chain, operating predominantly through franchises. As of 2024, it has over 6,000 locations across nearly 50 countries. The company generates revenue from franchise royalties, sales at company-owned stores, and commissary supply chain.
A historically black women’s college (HBCU), Bennett College for Women in
Greensboro, North Carolina offers rigorous academics and many
opportunities for women to become empowered leaders.
Examples of majors available at Bennett include Arts Management, Business
Administration, Global Studies, Political Science, Social Work,
Performing Arts, Religious Studies, Africana Women’s Studies, Electrical
Engineering and Education. There is also a nursing degree, which is
undertaken collaboratively through Howard University.
Opportunities for developing leadership skills abound at Bennett. Student
organizations encompass honor societies and numerous academic, feminist
and socio-political focused groups.
Since it is a Methodist school, there are also religious organizations
and services.
Freshman applicants must complete an essay and submit transcripts,
recommendation letters and SAT or ACT scores. Transfer applicants are not
required to take standardized tests.
Financial aid is available to eligible students through school, federal,
private and other sources. There are also tuition waiver or reduction
programs for those afflicted with certain economic and other challenges,
such as dislocated workers and foster youth.
