OlfaGuard Ltd is a bio-nanotech company based in Haifa, Israel, focused on enhancing food safety through its innovative E-nose technology. The company is developing a system of disposable nanotech-based sensors specifically designed to detect pathogens such as Salmonella and E. coli by identifying microbial volatile organic compounds (MVOCs) associated with these bacteria. Leveraging licensed technology from the Technion and Professor Hossam Haick, OlfaGuard's sensors have demonstrated the ability to accurately identify these pathogens in laboratory settings. The technology aims to provide users with high specificity results in a matter of minutes and at a low cost, eliminating the need for professional personnel or laboratory facilities. Currently, OlfaGuard is in the research and development phase, working towards bringing its advanced food safety solutions to market.
