The Evergreen Group

Evergreen Group Ventures, LLC is a private equity firm based in the United States, primarily focused on buyout investments. The group's origins trace back to the establishment of Evergreen Marine Corp. in 1968 by Dr. Y.F. Chang, who initiated shipping operations with a single cargo vessel. Over the years, the company expanded rapidly, becoming the world's largest container ship operator by 1985. Evergreen Group has diversified its portfolio to include air and land transportation, along with a chain of five-star hotels operated by Evergreen International Hotels. EVA Air, launched in 1991, serves as Taiwan's first privately owned international airline. The Evergreen brand is synonymous with safety, reliability, and high-quality service across its various sectors. In addition to its business ventures, Dr. Chang founded the Chang Yung-fa Foundation, which supports emergency aid, education, and cultural initiatives, and also established the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra and the Evergreen Maritime Museum to preserve Taiwan's maritime legacy.
