Bitmaker Labs

Acquisition in 2016
Bitmaker Labs is a 9-week training program that takes absolute beginners and teaches them the skills necessary to be computer programmers. Bitmaker Labs uses a combination of lectures, classwork, one-on-one mentoring, group exercises, pair programming, and hackathons to fully immerse students in the material. And by the end of the program, students will have spent hundreds of hours learning, practicing, and creating. Bitmaker Labs has assembled a roster of hiring partners who are eager to offer web development apprenticeships, which lead to full-time positions as junior developers. By the end of the program, students will have over 600 hours of experience and a portfolio of work they can share with the hiring partners.
