Current Water Technologies is a developer of environmental technologies focused on treating industrial and municipal wastewater and drinking water contaminated by metals and nutrients, operating globally in Canada, Europe, Asia and the United States. The company offers patented and proprietary electrochemical solutions such as electro-static deionization (ESD) for removing total dissolved solids, AmmEL for ammonia removal, NitrEL for reducing nitrates, AmdEl to prevent oxidation of sulfide minerals in tailings, and ExtrEL to recover metals from sulphide tailings and ore. Its technology portfolio targets sectors including mining, metal processing, chemical, agricultural, municipal, and waste management, and it works to recover nickel and other valuable metals from waste mill tailings. Incorporated in 1996 and headquartered in Guelph, Canada, the company previously operated under the ENPAR Technologies name before adopting Current Water Technologies in 2018.
