Based in Bogota, Colombia, Credivalores-Crediservicios is a non-banking financial company that provides consumer loans for individuals and small companies. The company also focuses on payroll-deduction loans and consumer lending collected through public utility bills as well as discount of checks and financing of insurance policies to low and middle income individuals. The independent consumer finance company uses its funding received from Gramercy Funds Management to upgrade the company’s entire technology platform combined with various initiatives. Founded in 2003, Credivalores-Crediservicios offers its services to clients in Colombia, Mexico, and the United States.
Banro is a Canadian gold mining company that focuses on the exploration, development, and production of mineral properties in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The company operates two gold-producing mines: the Twangiza mine, which began production in October 2011 near Bukavu, and the Namoya mine, located in the Maniema province. The Twangiza mine, an oxide operation, currently produces approximately 100,000 ounces of gold annually, with plans to increase production to between 110,000 and 120,000 ounces through plant modifications. In addition to its producing mines, Banro is advancing two gold exploration projects, Lugushwa and Kamituga, both situated in the southwest near Bukavu.
