Banro

Banro Corp is a Canadian gold mining company focused on the exploration, development, and production of mineral properties in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The company operates two gold-producing mines: the Twangiza mine, which began production in October 2011 and currently produces approximately 100,000 ounces of gold per year, with plans to increase this output to between 110,000 and 120,000 ounces, and the Namoya mine, located at the southern end of the Twangiza-Namoya gold belt. Additionally, Banro is advancing two exploration projects, the Lugushwa and Kamituga projects, both situated near Bukavu in the southwest region of the DRC.
