FITEC

FITEC, managed by Fondo Italiano d’Investimento SGR, is the first Italian technology private equity and late-stage venture capital fund, with a target commitment of Euro 150 million. The fund focuses on equity investments in small and medium-sized technology-based Italian companies, specifically those that are either backed by venture capital firms or self-financed by entrepreneurs seeking additional investment for growth. Notable examples of such companies include Seco and Healthware Group. FITEC announced its first closing in September 2017, with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti serving as the cornerstone investor. Fondo Italiano d’investimento SGR oversees a total of eight investment funds aimed at institutional investors, with a combined target of approximately Euro 3 billion in assets under management.
